So, to be honest with you, I'm not a proffessional programmer but I'd love to. I started learning how to program this month (November 2020) and it's actually very enjoyable!
In the end of this article, I'll tell you which platforms do I use to learn coding, so make sure you read it all!
Learning how to program can have a big, if not huge impact in your life... You can literally create many things by learning how to code. But to be exact, programming is divided to many different languages... You can't just learn how to program, that's very general and it will take you many-many years while learning a language can take you as little as 2-3 months.

As you probably have understood to find your ideal language to learn you have to have a basic knowledge about what every programming language is tailored for to do. What I've learnt, by taking some courses, seminars and watching videos is that there are some languages that are more friendly to a beginner because of their commands. These languages are called high-level and they would be a nice option for you to begin your journey.
Although, the problem with high-level languages is that are more difficult to be understood from a computer. A computer does many different actions in order to execute on a command. By learning a low-level language, you may find it difficult but the computer will love you because it is easier for him to understand you. Consequently, the computer runs faster, both the code and the whole thing. We could say that you now speak the computer's native language but this is not true because their main dialect is the binary system.

If you are blogging, you may have found yourself doing some basic/amateur coding. In platforms like Blogger and WordPress (my second website), you are able to edit code. The most-preferred languages for these small tasks, like changing the size of a word or the color of the background are HTML and CSS. Currently, I'm expanding my knowledge and my practicability on these two languages and they 're really a great boost, if you are just starting!

Where I'm learing coding at the moment: Codecademy, FreeCodeCamp
Also, you can watch ''The Social Network''. This movie will give you a taste about what programming is, how you can scale it and will convince you that yes, you can build big things (!) I've watched it on Netflix but I guess you'll be able to enjoy it from other platforms like youtube too :)
